Bags and Accessories
This section includes handbags and leather accessories created during my early career as an in-house designer at Dolce & Gabbana, as well as minaudières developed at Gucci.
In particular, it features print and embroidery placements on paper patterns and physical prototypes, which were my main responsibility during my time at Dolce & Gabbana.
GUCCI Aria Resort 2022 + Fall 2021

Created to mark Gucci’s centennial, the anatomical heart minaudières became one of the most striking symbols of the Aria collection.
Designed as rigid, sculptural evening pieces, they embodied both spectacle and heritage.
The minaudières appeared in two main versions: fully encrusted with rhinestones for a dazzling, theatrical effect, and smooth enamelled finishes in bold colors for a graphic, modern twist.
Some carried the word Savoy, a direct homage to the Savoy Hotel in London, where Guccio Gucci once worked — a subtle yet powerful nod to the Maison’s origins.
DOLCE&GABBANA - Fall 2015

The collection celebrated motherhood with accessories rich in sentiment, symbolism, and exquisite craft.
Handbags and totes were transformed into canvases of memory: embroidered with children’s crayon-like drawings, playful words and phrases, family-inspired patches, and rose motifs recalling intimate moments.
Some were lavishly adorned with brooches and intricate embellishments, while the iconic Dolce Box appeared both in plexiglass and in velvet, reimagined as miniature works of art framed like precious paintings.
Each piece blended storytelling with Italian artisanal mastery, turning every bag into a tribute to family, heritage, and emotion.
DOLCE&GABBANA - Spring 2016

The collection was a vibrant ode to Italy, seen through the eyes of joyful travelers and reimagined as a parade of souvenirs, postcards, and sun-drenched memories.
Handbags became storytelling objects: wicker baskets and raffia totes evoking open-air markets, embroidered purses adorned with playful travel motifs, appliqués recalling monuments and postcards, and shopper bags transformed into keepsakes of summer journeys.
Bold prints, hand-stitched details, and artisanal textures captured the spirit of Mediterranean light, citrus groves, and seaside escapes.
Each bag carried the dual soul of Dolce & Gabbana—craft and fantasy—turning accessories into living mementos of Italian culture, travel, and heritage.
DOLCE&GABBANA - Fall 2016

The collection unfolded like a modern fairy tale — from Cinderella and Snow White to enchanted castles and toy soldiers, it brought dreams and childhood fantasies to life on the runway.
Bags became storytelling objects: whimsical box bags shaped like castles or pumpkins, vanity clutches featuring mirrors with playful inscriptions, and richly embroidered handbags adorned with fantasy motifs such as mice, cats, mushrooms, and chandeliers.
Materials ranged from velvet and metallic accents to intricate beadwork, each detail adding theatrical elegance.
Every piece was conceived as more than an accessory — each bag carried the magic and imagination of the collection, turning fantasy into wearable art.
DOLCE&GABBANA - Christmas Capsule

For the holiday season, Dolce & Gabbana reimagined its most iconic bags as jewel-like treasures.
The capsule featured Dolce Box clutches and Vanda bags transformed into precious caskets, richly adorned with crystal brooches, enamel flowers, and embroidery that sparkled like haute joaillerie.
Each piece was conceived as a collector’s object: transparent plexiglass boxes revealing intricate floral appliqués, black velvet bags scattered with jeweled daisies, and structured minaudières studded with golden details.
These accessories were not only festive, but timelessly opulent — echoing the magic of Christmas and the spirit of celebration.
DOLCE&GABBANA - Carretto Motif

Inspired by the richly decorated Sicilian carts, this collection turned traditional folk art into luxury accessories.
Bags were painted and printed with vivid red, yellow, and blue motifs, echoing the wooden panels of the carretto adorned with flowers, suns, and folkloric scenes.
From the classic Sicily bag to Dolce Box clutches, every piece became a vibrant tribute to Sicily’s artisanal history and theatrical spirit.
I contributed to the placement of these intricate patterns, ensuring each motif was harmoniously aligned, preserving the storytelling power of the carretto design in every model.
DOLCE&GABBANA - Maiolica Motif

The Maiolica bags became one of Dolce & Gabbana’s most iconic expressions of Italian heritage, inspired by the intricate blue-and-white ceramic tiles of Sicily.
Presented in both the Spring 2016 and Pre-Fall 2015 collections, the bags celebrated Mediterranean light, artisanal beauty, and centuries-old craftsmanship translated into contemporary fashion.
The designs ranged from the classic Sicily bag to round crossbody styles and Dolce Box clutches, each transformed into a canvas for hand-painted maiolica motifs in deep cobalt blue, white, and accents of yellow.
Every piece captured the luminous atmosphere of the Mediterranean, echoing the ceramic artistry of Sicilian courtyards and coastal villages.
For these collections, I worked specifically on the placement of the maiolica prints on the pattern layouts, ensuring that the intricate motifs aligned perfectly across each model.
This meticulous process elevated the harmony of every design, turning each bag into a wearable mosaic of Italian tradition and luxury.
